Yates Sprayfix 200ml

The effectiveness of any foliar spray depends on how well it makes contact with and adheres to the leaf surface. Water-based sprays naturally bead up on leaves, particularly on plants with waxy cuticles or fine surface hairs, reducing the area of active contact and allowing a significant portion of the spray to run off before it can penetrate the tissue. Sprayfix is a non-ionic surfactant that reduces this surface tension, causing the spray to spread evenly across the leaf surface rather than beading, and improving adhesion so the active ingredient stays in contact with the plant rather than washing or dripping off.

The active ingredient is alkylaryl polyglycol ether at 50 g per litre, a non-ionic surfactant that is compatible with a wide range of fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides without interfering with their active chemistry. By improving coverage, adhesion, and penetration into leaf tissue, Sprayfix increases the efficiency of the spray application, meaning less product is required to achieve the same result and coverage is more consistent across the canopy. It is particularly useful when treating plants with naturally difficult-to-wet surfaces such as brassicas, onions, and waxy ornamentals, and when applying herbicides to persistent weeds including oxalis, kikuyu, couch, and bamboo where poor adhesion is a common reason for reduced effectiveness.

Always add Sprayfix to the spray mixture last to avoid excessive foaming. The 200ml bottle makes up to 50 litres of spray mixture.

Dose rate: 25 ml per 5 litres for insecticides and fungicides; 20 ml per 5 litres for herbicides.
