Nutrient solution quality degrades over time. Microbial activity, mineral interactions, and organic byproduct accumulation all contribute to a gradual decline in the condition of the root zone and system hardware, and this degradation is one of the most common and underrecognised causes of poor plant performance. Pythoff Plus is a standardised system health product formulated to maintain nutrient solution condition, prevent root zone deterioration, and keep irrigation hardware clear throughout the crop cycle and between grows.

Unlike chlorine and hydrogen peroxide-based alternatives, Pythoff Plus is fully compatible with organic additives and will not degrade or destroy beneficial compounds in the nutrient solution. It is standardised to a specific concentration and has a shelf life of 10 years or more, ensuring consistent dosing accuracy throughout its working life. Competing products are often unstable and variable in concentration, making accurate dosing difficult and underdosing or overdosing more likely. Always add Pythoff Plus to water before adding nutrients or additives, and predilute at least tenfold in raw water when redosing an existing nutrient solution. Not compatible with hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorous acid, beneficial bacteria, or live biological systems.

Nutrient solutions and flush water: 0.5 ml per litre. For stored water held for more than 2 to 3 days, dose at 0.5 ml per litre and store in the dark for at least 24 hours before use.

Post-harvest system clean-up: 2-4 ml per litre. Run the pump regularly during flush to reach all root and hardware surfaces. For wall and floor cleaning, use FloraMax System Maintenance at 25 ml per litre.
