The Philips Master HPI-T Plus 250W is a quartz metal halide lamp built for vegetative growth, delivering a cool white 4500K spectrum that replicates the blue-dominant light of long summer days. Metal halide lamps in this colour temperature range are the established standard for vegetative growth in HID-based growing setups, promoting compact internodal spacing, strong leaf development, and the structural growth that sets plants up well for the transition into flowering.

The HPI-T Plus delivers a rated luminous output of 19,500 lumens at 79 lm/W, with a colour rendering index of 65 providing reasonable colour accuracy across the canopy. Lumen maintenance is strong for an HID lamp in this class: 90% at 2000 hours and 80% at 5000 hours, with a rated life to 50% failures of 20,000 hours. The clear outer bulb maximises light transmission from the arc tube without the diffusion losses associated with coated alternatives. Operates in horizontal position. E40 cap fitting. Compatible with 250W metal halide ballasts.

Run-up time to full output is approximately 10 seconds. Allow the lamp to cool fully before restarting after a power interruption, as hot restrike can significantly shorten lamp life. Replace when lumen output has degraded to the point where growth rates are visibly affected, typically around 10,000 to 12,000 hours of use for performance-focused applications.
