TrolMaster Aqua-X Water Detector and Touch Spot WD-1

The WD-1 water detector can be utilized in two primary ways. First, it functions as a leak detector, monitoring floors or specific areas for the presence of water. Alternatively, it can serve as a water verification monitor, positioned where runoff accumulates or where water is introduced to the growing medium. Each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-X can be assigned to a specific WD-1. When the assigned solenoid or pump is activated by the Aqua-X, the WD-1 must detect water within an adjustable delay time. If water is not detected (indicating a pump or solenoid failure), the Aqua-X will send a user alert for “irrigation failure.” Up to 25 WD-1 sensors can be connected to a single Aqua-X.

Additionally, you can use two WD-1/2 water detectors to activate the new Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro. One sensor is placed at the bottom of the nutrient tank, while the other is positioned at the top. When the liquid level drops below the bottom sensor, the Aqua-X Pro will activate a solenoid or pump to refill the tank up to the level of the top sensor.

Please note that the WD sensors can only detect leaks from municipal, well, or nutrient-infused water. Reverse Osmosis (RO) water may have such low dissolved solids content that the Water Detector may not detect RO water leaks.
