Standard CO2 sensors used in growing environments typically measure up to 2000 or 5000 ppm, which is sufficient for monitoring supplemental CO2 enrichment. Emergency CO2 systems like the TrolMaster Carbon-X operate at a different scale entirely, requiring accurate readings up to 30,000 ppm to function safely and meet local code requirements. The Carbon-X CO2 Sensor is purpose-built for this application, incorporating a Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensor rated for the full 0 to 30,000 ppm range in a self-aspirated enclosure that draws air across the sensing element without requiring an external pump or fan.

A built-in LCD display provides a continuous real-time readout of the current CO2 level in ppm directly on the unit, allowing quick visual confirmation of conditions without needing to check a controller or app. Each zone or room monitored by the Carbon-X system can be equipped with one or two Carbon-X CO2 Sensors to satisfy local regulatory requirements for CO2 safety monitoring.

Compatible with the TrolMaster Carbon-X emergency CO2 system. Requires the TrolMaster SPH-1 supplemental power hub for operation; not included.
